How many children/families has Kidd’ Kids served?
Since 1991, Kidd’s Kids has provided a once in a lifetime experience for over 1,000 deserving children and their families.
How do I nominate a child for Kidd’s Kids?
Kidd’s Kids has a 10 week application period that starts the first week of May. To download an application, or, to be added to our email list to receive an application, please click here. All applicants must submit the completed six page application, a medical questionnaire signed by the child’s doctor, a birth certificate or shot record to verify the child’s age, and the first two pages of the prior year’s tax return.
I didn’t file taxes last year. What can I submit instead of a tax return?
If you do not file taxes and currently receive disability payments through Social Security, you may provide a copy of your Social Security award letter in place of a tax return.
What are the eligibility requirements for Kidd’s Kids?
A: 1) The child must be between the ages of 5 and 12 years old at the time of the trip.2) The child must be diagnosed with a chronic/terminal illness OR be physically challenged OR have a catastrophic impairment due to a birth defect or accident.3) The child and family must live in a Kidd Kraddick Morning Show listening area. “Listening area” is defined as being able to listen to the show on the radio in the family’s home city.4) The family of the child nominated must show a financial need (being otherwise unable to afford a trip of this nature).
Can I nominate a child/family without them knowing as a surprise?
The application requires extensive and confidential information about the child’s illness, so a parent or legal guardian MUST be the person to submit an application. If you know of a deserving family, we encourage you to send an application to them!
If my child is selected, what family members are invited to attend?
Family members invited to attend are defined as the child’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) and siblings between the ages of 5 and 18 years old.
My child has received a wish through another wish granting organization. Is my child still eligible for Kidd’s Kids?
If a child has already received a wish that is something OTHER than a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, they may still be eligible to attend a Kidd’s Kids trip. However, if a child has already been to Walt Disney World through another wish granting organization, they are not eligible for Kidd’s Kids.
My family has already been on a Kidd’s Kids trip. Can I apply again?
No, a family is only eligible to attend a Kidd’s Kids trip once.
