How long has Kidd’s Kids been around?
Kidd’s Kids was formed in 1991 by morning radio show host Kidd Kraddick.
How do I nominate a child for Kidd’s Kids?
Applications for the both the Kidd’s Kids Trip and the Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip are released in January and the deadline to apply is mid-July. Click HERE for information about the Kidd’s Kids Trip for children ages 5 - 12. Click HERE for information about the Teen Trip for teens ages 13 – 18.
Can I nominate a child/family without them knowing as a surprise?
The application requires extensive and confidential information about the child’s illness, so a parent or legal guardian MUST be the person to submit an application. If you know of a deserving family, we encourage you to send an application to them!
Where does the support for Kidd’s Kids come from?
Kidd’s Kids receives support from individual contributions, corporate donations, special event fundraisers and generous in-kind donations. Interested in becoming a partner? Check out our partnership page.

My family has already been on a Kidd’s Kids trip. Can I apply again?
No, a family is only eligible to attend a Kidd’s Kids trip once.
My child was a Kidd’s Kid when they were under 12 years old. Can I apply for the Teen Trip?
A family is not eligible for the Teen Trip if they have already attended any Kidd’s Kids trip.
What are the eligibility requirements for Kidd’s Kids?
1) The child must be between the ages of 5 and 12 years old at the time of the trip. 2) The child must be diagnosed with a chronic/terminal illness OR be physically challenged OR have a catastrophic impairment due to a birth defect or accident. 3) The child and family must live in a Kidd Kraddick Morning Show listening area. “Listening area” is defined as being able to listen to the show on the radio in the family’s home city. 4) The family of the child nominated must show a financial need (being otherwise unable to afford a trip of this nature).
What are the eligibility requirements for the Teen Trip?
The child must be between the ages of 13 and 18 at the time of the trip, and be diagnosed with a life-threatening and/or terminal illness as determined by an attending physician. Documentation is required.
My child has received a wish through another wish granting organization. Is my child still eligible for Kidd’s Kids?
If a child has already received a wish that is something OTHER than a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, they may still be eligible to attend a Kidd’s Kids trip. However, if a child has already been to Walt Disney World through another wish granting organization, they are not eligible for Kidd’s Kids.
