The social set ascended on The Empire Room in The Design District to raise money for Dallas-based charity Kidd’s Kids for Rock The Runway: An Evening in Marfa on February 29, 2020. Donned in their West-Texas, boho-chic best, attendees enjoyed bites from Vestals Catering, Velvet Taco, Ferris Wheelers, Fount Board and Table and Rafa’s Café Mexicano. There was plenty to wash it down with including Blue Ostrich Winery & Vineyard Viognier and Moscato, Bubble Tap Champs, Candy’s Signature Cocktails, Community Beer, Deep Ellum Brewing and Lolea Sangria plus the signature cocktail “TONI&GUY Cosmic Ranch water.”

TONI&GUY USA presented a runway show with fashions from Galleria Dallas featuring professional models from The Campbell Agency, friends of Kidd’s Kids and, most importantly, Kidd’s Kids and their families. They all strutted their stuff to the tunes by Radios DJ’s own Mike Morse.

Afterward, the Best Buy volunteers got the crowd on their feet to play the Heads or Tails game for a $1,000 Galleria Dallas gift card and a featured live auction item, dinner with The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show at Al Biernat’s North, launched a bidding war that went on for over five minutes. The night ended with a dance party of your favorite cover tunes with Random Axis Band. Incidentally, even the restrooms were festive and stocked with new glittery Poo~Pourri Before-You-Go Toilet Spray thanks to the team of Honorary Chair Suzy Batiz!

The event collected just over $100,000, which will help send qualified kids and their families to on the 2020 Kidd’s Kids trip to Walt Disney World. The debut of Kellie Rasberry’s Wish Wall created by Enchanted Fairies Storybook Photography gave everyone a chance to contribute at all monetary levels starting at just $25 for Mickey Mouse ears up to $25,000 to be able to join the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show and the families on the Southwest Airlines charter to Disney World.

“The evening was magical, I felt like I was back in Marfa, Texas,” said Caroline Kraddick, Chief Happiness Officer of Kidd’s Kids. “The committee truly brought the spirit of Marfa to Dallas for TONI&GUYS’ amazing fashion show featuring some of our Kidd’s Kids families. They really did rock the runway with their spitfire charm to inspire the crowd to make donations and they just filled my heart.”
